I started welding solely out of necessity as part of auto restoration. Since that time though, and with lots of self-taught practice, I’ve found that welding is actually extremely practical for random house and repair projects as well as the occasional art project. The ‘art’ pieces I’ve done so far have been relatively small and simple but I plan to do more of these (and bigger) at some point. In this same category I’ll also include miscellaneous mechanical projects (small engine repair, commuter car repair, etc.)
